Without question, the images you take as part of your job are assets. Yet as "mere" visual assets, the school probably doesn't leverage or maximize them as well as it does other assets, such as physical ones. If the school builds a new IM gym, you better believe the school will guarantee it gets used. The photos you took of Alumni Weekend or in Chile (while on assignment) don't necessarily come with that guarantee. Would that they did. With shortQueue, you can leverage all the pictures you take on the school's behalf - regardless of whether the school sees fit to use them on its website(s) or to include them in a school publication of some kind.

As a photographer you understand the value of using digital imagery as a way to build community and to deepen the involvement of current students, alumni, and other interested parties in the life of the school. Digital imagery is a powerful medium. The shortQueue program simply takes that medium a step further and gives people the opportunity to do what they're going to do already: buy pictures of themselves, their friends, and the places they love.

shortQueue is meant to complement, extend even, what you do already. It allows your department to showcase your work to a larger audience than might see it otherwise, it gives you the opportunity to display all your imagery publicly without bearing the cost of that display (i.e., storage, hosting, etc.) and it gives you the chance to raise a little money for the school through your efforts.

Extend your reach. Pull people back. Get shortQueue.
